About us
The Veolia Environmental Trust was established in 1997 under the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF). We support a wide range of community and environmental projects throughout the UK. The money we use for grants is made available through the LCF.
Veolia Environmental Services (UK) plc (Veolia) has supported this initiative by contributing £42m since we were established, which to date has been used to help more than 1080 projects.
We have four regions – Southern, London, Midlands and Northern. Each has a panel of representatives from local authorities, community and environmental organisations, and Veolia. These panels appraise applications prior to review by the Trustees who make up our Board of Directors. The Board meets quarterly to consider applications and decide which projects should be supported.

We have introduced the Veolia cre8 funding challenge to help adventurous, exciting and ambitious projects get off the ground. In July 2011, we will award four grants, one for each region, of a maximum of £300,000 each to fund schemes that best meet the objectives of Veolia cre8.
