BHUK Network, Bosnia House, Birmingham, double-glazing installation
Our grant of £75,000 funded the installation of new double glazed windows throughout this thriving community centre in Sparkhill, Birmingham

About the project
Bosnia House is the home of the Bosnian diaspora in the UK, providing a friendly and welcoming community centre that is open to all. This new centre provides language classes, cultural activities, and support services to people who have made the UK their home after fleeing war and persecution.
With a grant of £75,000 from the Veolia Environmental Trust, BHUK Network was able to install 105 new double-glazed windows throughout the centre, creating a warm community space whilst improving energy efficiency, lowering bills, and cutting the centre’s carbon footprint.
BHUK Network’s original community centre in Sparkhill, partly funded by the Veolia Environmental Trust, was so successful that they rapidly outgrew it and needed more space. Now providing support not just to the Bosnian community, but also Syrian and Ukrainian refugees, Bosnia House is a one-stop-shop for a huge range of community services and activities.
