It is important that you apply at the right time, as only one grant application may be submitted per project site, in a 12 month period.

You can submit your completed application anytime from when the funding round opens to 12:00 midday on the closing date. Submit as soon as you are ready so we can review your application and let you know if you need to provide more information.

These dates are for applications for the following grant funding schemes:

Community Grants Scheme, Whitemoss Community Grants Scheme, and Habitat and Biodiversity Grants Scheme

At the time you apply:

• All permissions must have been granted/approved and you will be asked to upload evidence. For example; Planning permission, Religious/Faculty Approval, Listed Building Consent – if you are unsure please contact your relevant Local Authority in advance.
• Physical works must not have started.  
• You should have completed a community consultation exercise; finalised your project design/plan; have estimated costs and provisional timescales and; have secured other funding necessary for your project to go ahead.
• You will need to upload a written quote or full cost breakdown
• You should have secured the 10% Contributing Third Party payment and be able to upload evidence of this within the application form.
• You may start a tender process before applying however you must not have appointed a contractor or started the work on site. This information is required to be available within two months of a conditional funding offer being awarded.
• If your organisation is an Environmental Body (EB), you must have already registered your project with ENTRUST. A registered EB is an organisation who is enrolled with our regulator ENTRUST.
• Your organisation does not need to be an EB to receive a grant from us.
