Camley Street Natural Park, London, Biodiversity improvements
Our grant of £63,625 improved the pathways and fencing at the reserve to facilitate the growing number of visitors, created a new grassland and hedgerow area at the north of the reserve, and enabled the planting of new trees.

About the project
Camley Street Natural Park is a tranquil 2-acre nature reserve nestled in the urban heart of Kings Cross, London. It features a mix of wetland, woodland, meadow, and invertebrate zones, creating a diverse and thriving ecosystem.
In 2018, the London Wildlife Trust recognised that increased visitor numbers risked putting pressure on the natural habitat. Therefore, the site needed improvements to maintain public access and enhance biodiversity.
Camley Street Natural Park now remains an oasis of natural biodiversity in the busy city and a calm, welcoming green space for visitors.
