Clive Village Hall, Shrewsbury, Roofing, Kitchen, Access and Energy Improvements
Clive Village Hall applied to the Trust to help redevelop their village hall, which had fallen into disrepair and was no longer able to support the needs of local residents.
The project was completed in phases and has resulted in a space that the whole community now is able to access and use.

About the project
The Committee at Clive Village Hall identified all the work the hall needed, but they decided not to do everything at once as it would have been too much to manage.
Therefore, they initially applied for the much needed roof replacement, then for phase 2, which included redevelopment of the kitchen, new toilets, meeting room and circulation area, additional storage areas, and additional energy efficiency improvements.
Also included were an accessibility door and external access ramps, and wheelchair accessible toilet facilities.
The refurbishment has resulted in a well used and much loved village hall which is now used by a number of local community groups on a regular basis.
