Case study
Hadnall Bowling Club, Shropshire – New Clubhouse
After 30 years of service, the clubs small clubhouse could no longer meet the community’s needs, accommodating only a handful of people at a time.
Our grant of just over £68,000 helped create a sustainable and accessible sports facility open to the whole community.

About the project
The funding resulted in the club replacing their timber clubhouse with a much larger space by repurposing 3 old shipping containers.
The project has resulted in a sustainable and accessible hub for the club and the local community by:
– Installing solar panels with 4kWh battery storage
– Reducing grid energy consumption to near enough zero
– Becoming fully accessible with wheelchair access and disabled facilities
– The ability to host additional community groups
From 7-year-olds to 90-year-olds, this inclusive space demonstrates how our funding, with the knowledge of local communities creates lasting impact.
