Portishead Lake Grounds Skatepark, Portishead – New Skatepark

Our grant of £75,000 helped finalise the funding required to build a new state-of-the-art concrete skatepark in Portishead.

The project enables local skaters, both experienced and those just starting out to hone their skills, and saves users having to travel further afield to get access to a similar facility.

About the project

The project aimed to construct a new state-of-the-art concrete Wheels and Skate Park to provide much-needed facilities for the Portishead community and visitors to enjoy all year round.

The Park is free to use and run as a fully inclusive and accessible community facility for all ages and abilities.

Our grant of £75,000 was the final injection of funding this project needed to get started after 25 years of campaigning.

The project is a partnership between Portishead Town Council and the Wheels and Skate Park community group (WASP) who have provided the images for this project.
